In most cases, dry eyes are caused by blocked Meibomian glands, which produce a protective layer for your tears. Without this layer, tears evaporate too quickly, causing dryness.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment helps the glands function properly, reducing tear evaporation and improving symptoms in around 90% of cases. Typically, 3 sessions are needed initially, followed by a single maintenance treatment every 6–12 months.

For applying for a new Dutch driving licence or renewing an existing one, an eye examination may sometimes be required. This can always be arranged at short notice with us. The results are sent digitally directly to the CBR (Centraal Bureau Rijvaardigheidsbewijzen) via Zorgdomein, ensuring minimal delays. If your results do not meet the CBR requirements, we will always discuss this with you, and no charges will be applied.
